If I could, I would give JW Autocare 10 stars. I have used them 2 times in the past few months and they are really wonderful to work with. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The service is great. I waited until now to review because I wanted to make sure the repairs held up. My car is running perfectly! Lexus was charging me $9,114.78 JW Autocare charged me $2,671.10 Details below. May 18, 2021 Whenever my 2006 Lexus GS300 (85,000 miles) got to between 5-10 Miles per hour it would jerk and make a clunking sound. I took it to Bell Lexus where they gave me a loaner while they checked it out. I was told the following was needed: 1. Replace rear main seal while transmission is off $159.87 2. Replace radiator, hoses, clamps and thermostat $1,273.30 3. Replace water pump $798.10 4. Transmission assembly with 12qts fluid $4,811.03 5. Updated ECM card $2,072.48 My TOTAL Cost $9,114.78 including tax I told them I was not about to put over $9,000 into my 16 year old car. The service rep told me that Lexus had a special program where he could send a request for financial relief. I had no idea what he meant by this but a couple of days later he called me and said they had OK’d his request and had reduced my repair bill by $3,948 which would now make my bill $5,166.78, Now, this really made me stop and think, “ What the heck is going on?”. I returned the loaner car to Lexus and drove off in my car with the Lexus service rep yelling after me, “it’s the transmission!” I immediately drove my car to Jim Winter’s. I showed them my copy of the Lexus bill and told them Lexus had offered to reduce it by nearly $4,000. Needless to say, they were flabbergasted and assured me they would be happy to check my car out. I asked them to also check the brakes. After the inspection by JW Autocare I was told: 1. the transmission didn’t need replacing 2. the radiator didn’t need to be replaced but would be flushed out when they… 3. replaced the water pump. 4. I didn’t need a new ECM card as they would send the existing one out to be repaired which would take a couple of weeks, but would probably cost about $800. 5. They also would replace rear brake pads and the cabin air filter which Lexus hadn’t included in their price. It took about 3 weeks before the ECM card got back, but I was happy that they had given me a loaner car. It was an “older” car but as my youngest grandson said, “it’s great Grammy, it has air-conditioning, a radio and it runs, what else do you need?”. If I had been able to get a rental at the time (COVID) it would have cost me about $2,000 for a 3 week rental. Best of all JW kept me updated throughout the entire period so I never had to call and ask what was happening. November 10, 2021 I was unable to open the driver’s side door of my car. I called JW Autocare and spoke to Ryan who was very reassuring. I am an 83 year old lady and had no idea how I would ever be able to climb from the passenger side to the driver’s seat. He sent 2 employees to my home to check it out. One of them crawled into my car and drove my car to the shop where they repaired the door latch and seal. They then returned my car to me at my home. They also gave me a lovely flower arrangement as a “Thank You”. All this for $35.10. I can’t speak highly enough of the service.
